The Safar Learn Arabic Series begins with the Arabic Handwriting Book, designed to strengthen children’s familiarity with elementary Arabic penmanship by teaching them to write letters and words clearly.
The book also serves as an aid to the Safar Qāʿidah, helping students become more confident in recognising and writing the Arabic script. As students practise writing letters and words, they develop a stronger familiarity with the script, which helps them read the Qāʿidah more fluently.
Supporting Reading Through Writing
Writing Arabic helps students become comfortable with the shapes and flow of the script. As learners practise forming letters by hand, they strengthen their ability to recognise the same letters while reading.
For this reason, the Arabic Handwriting Book works alongside the Safar Qāʿidah, supporting both writing ability and reading fluency.

A unique feature of the book is the Alif to Yāʾ of Little Reminders.
As students learn each letter, teachers are encouraged to introduce an Arabic word beginning with that letter. For example, when teaching Alif, the word Īmān may be introduced so students learn both the letter and an important concept related to faith.
Teachers may also share short reminders or stories that inspire students and strengthen their understanding.
The book includes free practice pages to give students additional space for writing.
At the end of each page, pass stars allow teachers to mark completion using stamps, stickers or a duʿāʾ and date. These can also be used within reward systems to motivate and celebrate student progress.
